Each Cutting Edge Ice Academy hockey camp will include an intense, high tempo and exciting atmosphere where players will be on ice for 2 ½ hours per day (over 12 hours per week). They will practice the playmaking skills in small area games and 3 on 3 game-like situations endorsed by USA Hockey. These small area games will encourage quick decision-making and will teach creativity while also emphasizing speed, the key component of today’s hockey. Throughout the week skaters will participate in high-level drills for elite skating and skill development. Skating drills will focus on explosive starts and stops, stride development, crossovers, tight turning, and proper form and balance. Other training will include challenging stickhandling drills, pinpoint shooting, flow drills, situational play, and competition drills. Cutting Edge Ice Academy’s high energy camp will be like no other camp you have ever experienced!
